The "war model" is now at the peak of popularity among five-pocket vintage jeans, and this fascinating model is still being examined in many places. A model with overwhelming details has been released. Just by listing the items "denim lining," "crotch rivet," and "red paint," you can imagine its appeal. Warehouse has reproduced this model, which exists in deadstock, from the top label "DEADSTOCK BLUE." Looking at the details, the crotch rivet must have been abolished at the same time that the buckle-back style of the 1930s was adopted. In fact, there are no rivets on the coin pocket... and the bag fabric is light-ounce denim, which is said to be rarer than chambray or flannel. The materials are wartime specifications, and the finishing touch is red paint instead of decorative stitching. This extraordinary detail, born out of the chaotic nature of various rules, goes well with the slightly stiff deadstock blue denim used for wartime.
