Based on a wartime coverall, the name 1938 is taken from a vintage garment known as a memorial jacket that was awarded to students who graduated from Princeton University in the United States that year. Clothes from the wartime era, when there were few supplies, had few buttons and pockets, and when you look at them now, it may all be the result of chance, but in the end it can be worn like a minimalist jacket.
